America Today

In the wake of so much sin and lawlessness,
 what is America in for?
I am in no way claiming to be a prophetess, but I do study to know God's word.
With the tragic shooting of our law enforcement officers in Dallas, social media is bombarded with prayers, comments, love, and even more hate propaganda.
I was just watching a live newsfeed of people
coming together to commemorate the fallen officers.  Prayers asking God to help those who were mourning were requested, and people were asked to unite together for a more peaceful future for America.
Sounds good right?
Well here's the first problem.

#1.
They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
 Jer. 6:14-16

Our nation has said, "NO, we will not walk there within."
America is not ashamed of the abomination!
Rather, we're living in a Sodom and Gomorrah nation where laws are legalizing sin such as homosexual marriage.
Transgender discrimination laws are allowing gender neutral bathrooms. A major problem with that is perverted men in bathrooms with little girls.
To add to this abomination, the United States of America is aborting approximately 4,000 babies each day!
Women are protesting, "It's my body!", yet it's not their body that is murdered.
Furthermore, every sinful lifestyle is protected by law while decent Christian values are ridiculed as hate.
We're living in a society where ALL lifestyles have to be accepted, yet everyone is offended by any lifestyle or belief which has "true" Christian morals.
Violence is widespread.  Just today in my small hometown, a lady was arrested for threatening our law enforcement officers.  She insinuated to start a  "purge", presumably influenced by the evil and lawless movie with the same name. Surprisingly, it seems this movie is a sensation even to some professing Christians.
On the same note, a murder is being investigated.  Apparently, the suspect or suspects opened random fire in the direction of the master bedroom of some one's home. One was killed and one was taken to the hospital.
Even small rural towns can not escape the rapid escalation of sinful violence.  It's frightening.
However, America, as a nation, has blatantly opposed God's instructions.  America has said, "No, we will not walk there within."  Because of this sinful behavior, an entire nation is paying the price of sinfulness.  Don't get me wrong, God will still work on the behalf of His people, but we're in for perilous times as a whole.  This will cause many to cry out, "Where is God?"   Well, He's been here the whole time, and He's watched over and over as people have turned their backs on Him, and swept their sins under a rug.  Even professing Christians have become too complacent indulging in the worldliness.
Here's another part of the problem.

#2
As I mentioned in a previous post, you can not unite with other faiths to pray for this nation.
To say the least, those prayers are amiss.
Uniting in prayer with other religions who worship strange gods will not bring about peace and harmony.  On the contrary, it leads to further destruction of a people who have forsook the Lord their God!

For there is ONE God, and one mediator between God and men, CHRIST JESUS.
 1 Timothy 2:5

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
 Psalms 33:12

Just because people address god, it doesn't mean they are praying to the God of the Bible.

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
Isaiah 60:12
Looking at the news, America seems to be headed to "utter waste" forthwith!
Yes, we are all in this nation together, and love and peace would be extremely nice.
Likewise, we need to have compassion and respect for others, but we do not have to accept their sin.
We need to pray for lost souls and for those who are doing satan's bidding by senselessly killing others.  We need to pray for those who are hurting and mourn with those who are mourning, but our prayers are to be directed towards
 The One True God
 The I AM
through the name of His son,
 Jesus Christ,
who died on the cross for all mankind!
We should ONLY unite with those doing the same.
We need Christian leaders and ministers setting themselves apart by praying only in the name of Jesus with only those doing the same.
Christians should refuse to stand alongside other religions to join together in prayer especially on the steps of our nation's capital.   Not because we are hateful, but because we fear God!
How many times throughout scripture was a nation allowed to be destroyed or taken over because of joining or following other religions?
Numerous times throughout scripture, God has shown that He is the only God and that he doesn't play second fiddle.
I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8

Our God does not work along with any other so called god! Any other god is satan's devise.
God is unequaled, unparalleled!
How dare we merely include His name among other so called gods during a time of prayer for our nation!
Such instances are just satan's intent to be called upon as God because he wants to be like God.
God will not listen.

He said, "If MY people, which are called by MY NAME"!
 2 Chronicles 7:14
Not the people who serve some other god!

The devil wants interfaith unity, because it will bring the world closer to a one world religion as it tries to remove Jesus.
The devil is implementing more and more chaos through a corrupt system that fuels the flames of terrorist attacks, hate groups, and racial groups.  Not to mention how the media distorts issues to get a rise out of the public which in turn adds to the chaos.
The devil knows that enough chaos will bring people to the point where they ignorantly choose acceptance over the truth trying to find a peaceful way to coexist with sin.
The government wants a helpless ignorant society playing into their hands.
We are in for perilous days.  I believe we are living in the end times.
We are now living in the 70th Year of Jubilee which is significant considering end time prophesy throughout the Bible.
Signs are all around us.

In the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5

The Bible tells us that there will be signs in the heavens, earth, and seas.
Never before have I heard of so many warnings as I have this summer about the dangers of swimming in our oceans.

I don't mean to sound negative, but according to the Bible,  evil will increase.
There will be great distress among nations. There is no doubt that we are living in the last days. Things are coming on the earth, and the powers of Heaven shall be shaken.
We need to discern the times.
The perplexity of the end times will continually play out true to the Bible.
We, Christians, will be hated and persecuted.
However, The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum 1:7

Our answers to the perilous times we are facing now will not be found through interfaith prayers or the next president. Society is plagued with evil.  Sin has become the "norm".
We will find no solid plan to save America.
America has said, "No, we will not walk there within." Jer.6:16
The gateway to destruction is broader than ever before, and I understand more and more each day the true meaning of the narrow path that few find (Matthew 7:13-14). The path is narrow because it has only one door, Jesus.  Broad is the gate to destruction because so many go the way of the world.
God is not unjust for having such a narrow way.
On the contrary, Jesus gave His life so all could have the chance to enter into life.
However, He gave everyone free choice.  He does not force us to love Him because that would not be genuine love.  He stands at the door and knocks.  He urges us to taste and see that the Lord is good.
Our hope is not in man.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Amen. Matthew 28:20

Deceitful Lips & Itchy Ears

A perverse person stirs up conflict,
and a gossip separates close friends.
 Proverbs 16:28

Most professing Christians would not consider themselves to be "perverse" or a "troublemaker".
However,
I believe such an abomination is an epidemic
in the lives of so many professing to be Christians.
Truly, a person is not living for the Lord if he or she constantly has a flagrant, unbridled tongue.
If a person spreads gossip, they are serving the devil!

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

 Proverbs 16:6

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

Because I am not excluded from the devil's manipulating wiles, I have learned lessons myself during my Christian pilgrimage. I have prayed for forgiveness and to have the heart to forgive others.  I have prayed for a right spirit and for the strength to know when to speak and when to shut my mouth.
It's not right to fight gossip with more gossip. We can know bad things about a person to be true, but it doesn't help to use them against a person to bring them down.
On the contrary, we are to edify each other!
We are to esteem others more than we do ourselves!
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Eph. 4:29
What is happening to people?
I admit, it isn't at all times easy, especially when provoked.
Petty gossip among believers is serious.
"Petty" being an oxymoron,
because lies and gossip are far from petty (inconsequential).
Lies carry great consequences!
Note the significance of lies and gossip as you read these next few verses of scripture.

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,...

and the following verses accurately describes a gossip
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16-19

Many are quick to excuse their "false witness" for various reasons.
Perhaps the devil is guiding their reasoning by making them feel like they are being justified because they themselves have felt mistreated, unjustly treated, or maybe they feel like life hasn't treated them fairly.
They point out slanderous falsehoods about others while at the same time try to use the utmost spiritual tactfulness.
Hypocrisy!
One should not claim to have Christian moral standards and beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform!
Justifying one's reasoning for sowing seeds of discord is merely
RESENTMENT!
On the other hand, I know people who lie and spread lies as naturally as talking or breathing.  It's seems to be just part of who they are.  Most likely, they were raised like that, and to them it's second nature. It comes out of them in such a nonchalant manner that I don't think they even realize how wrong it is.
Although I genuinely feel sorry for them, I have oftentimes been hurt by their "evil" ways. I worry about their eternal salvation, and I pray they will realize their need for repentance.
while the wicked slander me
and tell lies about me.
They surround me with hateful words
and fight against me for no reason.
I love them, but they try to destroy me with accusations
even as I am praying for them!
 Psalm 109:2-4

Trying to convenience others to believe bad about another person is an abomination!
Why do so many professing Christians quickly turn their ear to hear the lies?
Furthermore, isn't it just as wrong for a person to hear gossip and falsely accuse or treat another person unjustly because of it?
A wicked person listens to deceitful lips; a liar pays attention to a destructive tongue. Proverbs 17:4

Oh but a Christian wouldn't consider themselves to be a "wicked person" for just listening to gossip and believing it.
It happens all the time.  A person eagerly tunes in to false accusations about another, believes it, and are glad they heard it.
Without a second thought that they have paid attention to a destructive tongue, they go to a midweek church service, clap their hands, sing a song, and praise the Lord all while their thoughts bear false witness against another.
Satan is happy.
Oh sadly, I'm not without guilt,
 but I have been redeemed!
Thank God!
I am not so easily deceived by satan's ploy to
divide and conquer!
Christians, open your eyes!
Let go of resentment or pure foolishness that keeps your ears in tune to destructive tongues and your own lips ready to spread the seeds of discourse.
Wouldn't families, churches, friend, and other relationships be better if we made it a point to build each other up instead of tearing each other down.
Even if someone you know (for fact) has many indecencies themselves tells lies and gossips about you, you should make it a point, as Christians, to find the good qualities about them and speak only words of edification.
If someone has hurt us, we will never allow the wound to heal if we keep picking at it, even in the hypocritical manner I mentioned above by trying to retaliate with words spun with "Christian" tact.  Just as we don't talk evil of someone, we shouldn't use God's word to instruct or point a finger if it's done with a resentful heart or vindictive motives.  Most times this behavior is easily recognized by a mature Christian.
If we try our best to bring out only the good in a person, it might just work.
If not, we must strive to speak no evil against a person.  It is better to remain silent.
This can be extremely hard, I know.
However, it is part of our spiritual growth process.
  Are we still just
 babes in Christ?
If we can not help a person, we should not hurt them.  The truth has a way of coming out over time.
Jesus says, "bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you." Matthew 5:4
In doing so,
we shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee. Proverbs 25:22
It's past time for professing Christians to seriously question in their own hearts and minds if they are furthering satan's ploy to divide and conquer, or if they are exemplifying the Kingdom of God in their lives.
How quickly one can become defensive and deny that they have done and/or continue to do "wickedness".
It is so important to ask ourselves a few questions such as:
Should I say this about that person?
Is it true, and if so why would I want to spread it?
Would God want me to say this about that person?
Why do I want to talk bad about this person?
Would I want someone saying this about me?
Do I love this person?
Do I hate this person?
Is my heart right towards this person?
Has this person hurt me?
Should I listen to this gossip?
Should I believe this?
Why is this person telling me this?
Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?
Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.
He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

If we can read God's word without having love and compassion for one another, even those who mistreat us,
something is major wrong in our hearts.
My eyes were swelling with tears as I typed,
Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?
who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
God is love!
His word is love!
His kingdom is love?
Love does not envy!
Love is not puffed up!
Love does not behave itself unseemly!
Love seeketh not its own!
Love is not easily provoked!
Love thinketh no evil!
Love rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth!
If we love each other, we will not speak lies or gossip about others.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1John 3:14

We can not call ourselves the children of God if we do not love each other enough not to speak evil of one another or, just as wrongly, listen and believe gossip.
God has called us out of such childishness and worldliness.

Again, I must stress that I believe we should all carefully ask God to help us search our hearts about this instead of feeling like we're too "holy" to be caught up in this deception.
There is so much strife in the world.  Family and close relationships are being effected more and more.  The Bible says that in the last days evil will wax worse.  People's hearts will grow cold, and there will be more wickedness including slander.
It's time to stop any form of gossip!
Just as importantly, it's time to stop listening and believing gossip!
It's time to ask ourselves this question,
Is this gossip?
Do people realize when they themselves gossip, or do they only call it gossip when others do it?
Lord, help us to realize gossip, lies, and deception even when we're talking or listening to those closes to us.
  Gossip is wickedness!
Slander is evil!
Lies are born from the father of all lies, satan!

People would not lie and slander others without having bitterness and resentment residing in their heart.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 66:18

That should be a sobering verse.  How desperately we need for God to hear our prayers in the days we are living in!

Let us do our best to have love and compassion for others.
We need to take our cares to the Lord's ears.  We need to vent to the One who can deliver us, comfort us, and guide us into all understanding.

We need to shut out the lies and ploy of the devil, and strive to live peaceable and considerate lifestyles.

Here are just a few more verses regarding this topic:

"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:26

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure. Psalm 101:5

For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you to be not what I wish and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, angry tempers, disputes, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbances; 2 Cor. 12:20

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander... 1 Peter 2:1

You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the LORD. Lev. 19:16

to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. Titus 3:2

Sanctification

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
EXPOSE
them.
Ephesians 5:11
Hello dear readers.
I know it's been a while since my last post, but with all life has thrown my way here lately, I have been unable to put my pen to the plow so to speak.
Imagine my delight when my mind was flooded with thoughts for a new post this morning.
I have scribbled down so many notes today, and I am so excited about this post that I believe God is enabling me to write.
In the above scripture, we are instructed to expose(NIV) or reprove(KJV) the unfruitful works of darkness.
To expose or reprove means to:
charge with a fault to the face
to chide with
to reprehend
to convince a fault
to make it manifest.
to refute
to lay open
to uncover
to remove from shelter.
Therefore, it can be said that Christians should no be silent or idly stand by but rather reprove and rebuke that which is evil.
However, so many Christians are unable to reprove evil because they are unable to notice how cleverly satan has concealed it.
Professing Christians carry on with life as if nothing is happening because so many are engrossed with entertainment and worldly pursuits.
We are living in A Spoiled Nation!
I am not exempt from guilt myself, and I'm not throwing off on everyone else. However, it angers and saddens me to repentance when I realize that satan has pulled a shade over my eyes.
Therefore, I pray to be ever vigilant!
Open the eyes of my heart Lord!
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may KNOW the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people...Eph 1:18
Open you my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
Psalm 119:18
However, people's hearts have waxed gross, their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed.
 (Matthew 13:15)
I believe our nation is in the state that it is in today because professing Christians are not concerned with
sanctification.
We will not see a great move of the Holy Spirit if we are not concerned with the process of sanctification.
As born again Christians, we should not to live without regards to spiritual growth and sanctification.
God's word says,
"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17
Allowing God to begin His work of sanctification within us, begins with
 KNOWING God's word.

 In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5
there is a list of important behaviors existing prior to sanctification.
  • Comfort yourselves together.
  • Edify one another
  • know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.
  • Be at peace among yourselves.
  • Warn them that are unruly. (Eph. 5:11)
  • Comfort the feebleminded.
  • Support the weak.
  • Be patient toward all men.
  • See that none render evil for evil unto any man.
  • Follow that which is good.
  • Rejoice evermore.
  • Pray without ceasing.
  • In every thing give thanks.
  • Quench not the Spirit.
  • Despise not prophesy.
  • Prove all things.("Judge" All Things)
  • Hold fast that which is good.
  • Abstain from all appearance of evil.(The Walking Dead, Please Don't Watch)
Then God's word says,
and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Knowing Bible verses does not bring sanctification!
  Loving God's word does!
We need to crave the His word more than food.  We have to hide His word in our hearts, so that we are able to overcome sin.
 Thus, the process of sanctification!
We must have this FULLNESS in the days we are living in.
I am afraid that too many Christians are, as the Bible says,
 neither cold nor hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Rev. 3:16
Our nation has been blessed with increased goods, but we have turned prosperity into a curse.
God was addressing to the "Churches" in Revelation 3.
How many don't realize how wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked they truly are?
Revelation 3:18 says, "buy of Me gold tried in the fire..."
Sanctification costs!
We are tested in fire to become as a precious metal.
Being lukewarm can not refine!
...anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
 Rev. 3:18
We are warned.
We must have our eyes anointed to see!
We are living in the last days!

In Matthew 24:32-35, Jesus gave a parable of “the fig tree”:
Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the door!
Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

The overwhelming majority of Biblical commentators and Biblical scholars all believe that the fig tree represents the state of Israel, which was established in 1948 AD.
The generation which was born when the state of Israel was established, according to Jesus, will not pass away prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  The span of “generation” was established in the Bible as 40-100 years. If the length of David’s generation, Christ’s generation, and those living today is 70-80 years (Psalm 90:10), it would be reasonable to conclude that the generation Christ was talking about in the parable of the fig tree will also be 70-80 years in length. Add that to 1948 (1948+70=2018).
Although no one knows the day or hour,  Jesus was very angry with the Pharisees and Scribes for not discerning “the signs of the times”. (Luke 12:56)
We are to be watching and ready.
I urge you to read, Revelation Unfolding, a post I have previous written. There are several videos in that post that I hope will not be removed.
We need our eyes open and oil in our lamps!
We can not foresee and understand what we need if we're living in complacency and having a lackadaisical attitude towards spiritual growth and sanctification.
We must have a fullness of the Holy Spirit in out lives teaching and leading us.
Many will be deceived in the last days!
Do you realize that the devil is cleverly deceiving the church?  With the "created" threat of ISIS and the brutal killings throughout our country, satan is cunningly pushing for interfaith unity.
He wants Christians to think they are joining together with other faiths for a common cause such as stopping extremist or saving the planet from climate change.
This sounds innocent enough to Christians who hope for love and peace.
However, the end-time prophecy will play out.
 Evil will wax worse.
  Sin will increase.
Many shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
There will be distress among nations with perplexity.
Christians should not form an unholy alliance with other religions!
We must not  have unity with any religion that worships other Gods or believes someone other than Jesus can forgive and absolve sin!
Such an interfaith unity would only further the evil plan of a one world government.
God's kingdom is NOT of this world!
We should remain a separate people for Christ Jesus - a 'peculiar people'.
We are not of this world, and we will be hated by this world.
Do not be surprised, Christians will be considered the extremist. It's already happening more and more each day.
Christians are the ones who are hated and persecuted for not accepting sinful lifestyles.
We must remain unapologetic for our Biblical beliefs.
We need to cry out with broken sobs for the souls of those lost without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savoir.
The world is full of sin.
We must have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
EXPOSE
them.
Ephesians 5:11
To often, the church looks no different than the world.
I'm not talking about mere clothing.  I'm talking about a people lacking sanctification.
God's word says, be ye holy.  We can not be 100% until Christ appears, but we must strive to be.
The Lord sanctifies us through His word of truth
(John 17:17).
It should be evident in our everyday life.
Is is evident in what we participate in,
what we watch,
what we listen to,
what we talk about,
how we treat others,
how we reverence God,
how we worship God,
how we defend His word,
how we edify each other
how we prove ALL things,
how we cleave to that which is good,
how we abstain from all appearance of evil?
We can not afford to be deceived into believing that we do not need sanctification.
Too many Christians are being deceived.
Another way satan is controlling the minds of so many is found in Revelation 18:23 ..."for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived."
Did you know that word 'sorceries' in the original Greek is the word 'pharmakeia', which is where we get the word 'pharmceuticals' today? So satan is deceiving the world through the 'great men' of the earth - the leaders, doctors and big pharmaceutical companies.
I have written a post about this,
and you can read it
Like never before, we need the Lord.  We need to be in love with His word!
We need to have our eyes anointed to see!
The lost are deceived already, and we should pray that they will come to understand their need for Jesus.
Why would God warn that many will be deceived, even the very elect, if He wasn't referring to believers?
We need to know God's word, not just be able to quote Bible verses or wear them on t-shirts.
Every believer needs sanctification and the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
The majority of believers do not hear this preached from God's word today.
Many believe in nothing more than just accepting Jesus as Savior.
However, there is still spiritual growth.

....since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 1 Colossians 8:9-10

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity...
Hebrews 6:1

giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 2 Peter 1:5-9

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being[ongoing process]sanctified
Hebrews 10:14

Is there discipline in (our)the believer's life?
Are we sharing in His holiness? [Heb. 12:10]

In Romans chapter 6, Paul speaks of how we are justified at salvation. Yet, he tells how we must make choices to live as mature, holy people as we yield our lives to the Lord each day. This is the ongoing process of sanctification.

The lack of this in today's professing Christians, is causing mayhem!
This is why Christianity is becoming transparent in the world.
Professing Christians are doing whatever they want and acting however they want.
There is no desire for sanctification.
There is no belief in the need of holy and righteous living. Biblical beliefs are replaced with outright lies!
Professing Christians are disillusioned into believing that everyone sins, so no sin should be proved (judged) or questioned.
Acceptance of sin is rapidly growing.
  Churches are embracing sin.
Sin abounds so that professing Christians are desensitized and can no longer recognize it!

Just this week, I had a talk with a friend who was upset with yet another issue at her child's school.  The school claims, "Our school will provide opportunities for students to excel in academics, the arts, and athletics in a safe, orderly, Christian environment." However, her child was given a Summer assignment to read a book that takes the Lord's name in vain frequently and contains several other profanities.   The book contains numerous discussions about various sex topics.  It also includes topics such as suicide, revenge, and drinking.  However, since the book has won awards such as the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Novel and  the ALA Booklist Starred Review, most parents will have no issues with their child reading this book.
This is appalling especially since this is a very small school where most of the families are supposedly professing Christians.
Why aren't more parents exposing this?
  Why are they silent?
They allow their kids to read such trash, yet they take them to church on Sunday morning.
What message does that send?
“I hate, I despise your feasts,
and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies..."
Amos 5:21

If the church is desensitized and has complacency for sin, are our songs and melodies just noise unto the Lord?
Take away from me the noise of your songs;
to the melody of your harps I will not listen. (vs. 23)

Are our hearts, as believers, being sanctified?
Are church buildings full of solemn assemblies and noise?

I'm afraid too many are just believing a lie.
The family is the basis of all social structures, and our society is full of evil!
We need sanctified, mature leaders in the home as well as in the church.
God has called us to holiness, and He is able to do this work within us.
...We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
 1 John 3:2-3
